Jim Shooter takes over as writer, and begins with two fill-in artists, Lee Elias (above) and and George Tuska. These issues pretty much suck. The villains are Man-Bull and Owl.
On a more sentimental note: Daredevil #144 was one of the first “back issues” I bought. See, when I was a kid and started collecting comics, there weren’t digital books and there weren’t even complete trades. If you wanted to read every issue of a comic, you had to go dig through long boxes at places like Forbidden Planet and St. Marks.
