Peter visits Kansas, the site where he’s been offered a job managing a research job.
While he’s there, he happens to meet a guy who was bitten by a radioactive rabbit and got super speed. He chooses not to be a hero and hide his abilities, so he can have a normal life. Note that he’s got Elmer Fudd on his shirt, an obvious nod to the world’s most famous rabbit.
It’s very strange that he was introduced here and never used again.
The issue ends on a cliffhanger of Peter telling Mary Jane he wants them to move to Kansas together so he can take the job. MJ has a high-powered supermodeling job and is making lots of money. I’m betting she says no.
