This story does a deeper dive into Maggott’s history. We learn that he met Magneto as a child, when his powers first manifested, in South Africa. Magneto protected Maggott’s father by killing some soldiers, inspiring Maggott.
At the end of the issue, Storm is told by the spirit of her mother to return to Africa.
So it’s an Africa-centric issue.
