A very powerful issue in which Murdock reexamines his childhood in order to gain back his childhood powers, which he lost as an adult. And it turns out he never lost them–he only lost touch with them.
The scenes where he is working out with his childhood mentor, Stick, are terrific. The story is held together by Stick teaching Daredevil how to hit a bullseye with a bow and arrow.
Meanwhile, Kingpin is setting his sights on reporter Ben Urich–who has been writing stories based on tips from Daredevil himself. And he’s looking for a new chief assassin…
Frank Miller really put everything into his work on this series. Every issue is sheer brilliance.
This is a chapter in Elektra story that is one of the best Frank Miller stories of all time and the second best Daredevil story of all time (full list here).
