SPIDER WOMAN #10 (1979)

First appearance of Gypsy Moth, a mutant who can control fabrics. 

This means that the Spider-Woman bondage fetish gets an upgrade to full encasement.

Nice.

On the whole, with Mark Gruenwald on board as writer, the series is getting better.  Not a lot better, but better.  Fun bit of trivia on this issue: On the letters page, creatively titled, “Venom Blasts…”

…A reader asks how Spider-Woman’s hair length changes when she turns into Jessica Drew.

Editorial’s response at first is to credit it to artistic license, but then they get Infantino to subtly explain it a panel–with no written explanation, just a clue for the careful reader…
