Anyone know if it was Roger who wrote the headlines? Marvel doesn’t do cute stuff like this anymore. I miss it.
Anyway, it’s another Vulture story. It’s pretty simple–he recreates his power pack, fights Spidey, and loses. But it’s a Stern/Romita joint, so it’s a great read.
Spidey defeats him by trapping him in an alley and ripping off his power pack.
Also, MJ returns.
Roger Stern is an excellent writer, but let’s appreciate Romita’s art.
I mean, that’s a great spring-into-action panel–but look at the cracks in the glass. They’re like spider-webs. Nice detail work!
