Character: Ares (Greek God of War)

The Greek God of War mostly appeared as part of the whole Greek pantheon until 2006, when he got his own series and became a Wolverine/Executioner hybrid. 

(The series was actually pretty damn good.)

Then, he got killed by Sentry.
