It seems pretty important to someone (not me or anyone who actually read comics in 1990) that Comet Man not fade into obscurity, so he gets a 4-part story in Marvel’s generally unreadable anthology book, written and drawn by the folks who created the character and picking up a plot thread from his original series related to his family. Nobody read that comic. Nobody read this one. So the details don’t matter.
