Hulk is still traipsing about overseas, and now he goes from Russia to Japan, where he meets up with Sunfire. Actually, no. He doesn’t. And I’m pretty sure that, to date, he’s the very first Marvel character to go to Japan and NOT hook up with Sunfire. Instead, Colonel Talbot—who has been one step behind Hulk in his recent travels (where every issue he’s in a different country)—finally catches up with him, attacks him in a big machine, and dies in a ball of fire.
It’s a little anticlimactic to have a character as established as Talbot die quickly and suddenly, and not even in the U.S., but in some ways that’s also kind of refreshing. Also, how many Colonels do you know are actually getting into fighter planes and attacking pilots? Not many. Not any, really.
Also, the new Teen Brigade concept is still progressing, with Rick Jones at the helm.
