After his battle with T-Ray, Deadpool was tore up. So Zoe and the interdimensional law firm of Landu, Luckman, and Lake come down to Earth, heal him up, and get him to save the world. Of course, he irritates the crap out of them in the process.
Meanwhile, Blind Al—who is a saint, by the way—forgives Deadpool for locking her in the torture room and Deadpool’s conscience gets the better of him so he tells her she is free.
She truly kills him with her own kindness when, instead of leaving, she cleans his house and makes dinner for him.
Ah, the complexities of a codependent, abusive relationship. This book is so damn good.
