Paul Gulacy leaves the book, and Doug Moench sits out several issues as well, making this the first time Shang Chi has been handled steadily by different creators in a very long time (except for some one-off stories in Giant-Size Master of Kung Fu back in ’75).
Mostly, though, Doug Moench is still writing. The stories range from silly to Doctor Doom.
This book is just not as good without Gulacy. Mike Zeck appears to be the new regular artist and I love his work, but Gulacy really made MOKF something special.
