Black Panther agrees to help him go on the lam and get home.
Upon his return, Christopher Priest quits as writer and we get a bland Savage Land adventure that closes out this series. It ends with Ka-Zar being accused of crimes in the Savage Land as well, so both he and Shanna go on the run–meaning he’s an outlaw in both worlds.
