This annual is a story about some Humanity’s Last Stand characters and I just can’t abide it. It represents everything bad about the mid ’90s X-books. The art looks silly. There’s a bunch of characters who have only appeared once or twice but I’m supposed to (a) remember them and (b) care enough to read a whole comic about them. It’s got some time travel stuff in it. I can’t tell when it takes place in overall continuity. It portends the Onslaught event. Bastion is in it. Etc. Etc.
If any of that sounds attractive to you, then you’ll dig this Annual. Also, you and I have very, very different taste in comics.
