At the end of Spider-Man #53, Eddie and the symbiote were separated, and that’s where this story picks up.
While the symbiote misses Eddie, Eddie now has time–separated from the symbiote–to realize what a dick he’s been.
I know, dick is an understatement for a guy who kept eating people and trying to kill superheroes. But he doesn’t have a lot of time before…
Jailbreak! Except…No. They take Eddie and leave the symbiote.
They want his help with their symbiotic relationships. Eddie kills some of the human hosts instead.
That’s one way to deal with a relationship, I guess.
The symbiote escapes and goes to find Eddie.
They’re reunited, with a new relationship, and we’re promised Carnage next month.
