Nova #36 (2010): Series Ends

Nova’s solo book has been very good.  It’s also been enmeshed in back-to-back “events.” Even this final issue has a banner launching the Thanos Imperative storyline.  As a result of the War of Kings, there is a “Fault” area in outer space that exists outside of space and time.  Nova and his team (Darkhawk and the recently resurrected Namorita) go to Earth to consult with their Project P.E.G.A.S.U.S. pals about the threats posed by The Fault.

Once there, he fights “Dark Quasar”–who is actually an alternate universe Quasar who was able to crossover into the 616 Universe via the Fault and take control of Project PEGASUS (this happened during the Realm of Kings event).  Dark Quasar is working in service of “The Undying Lord.” Given the banner on the cover, I’m assuming that’s going to be revealed as Thanos.

Nova series “ends” with a launch right into a Thanos-based event.

The series ends with Nova pursuing Dark Quasar.

Not much of an ending for the book.  More of a bridge to Nova’s next appearance.
