This issue is titled, “Pre-Siege Mentality,” but there’s nothing “pre” about it. It’s an event tie-in. The team take on Loki and learn about all the various ways he’s been tricking them over the past several issues (creating fake versions of Scarlet Witch, stirring in-fighting, disguising himself as Eternity to make Hank Pym the “Scientist Supreme,” etc.)
Several of the team quit in the wake of the revelations–and Hank Pym’s reactions to them. He actually invites Loki to join the Mighty Avengers! Understandably, that’s a bridge too far for the team.
