Seen here in a photo taken by another great artist, Mike Zeck, Billy was born on July 1, 1935, and passed away back in 1997. He pencilled and/or inked the first 16 issues of Luke Cage’s first solo series AND the first issues of Vampirella’s old horror comic. He’s also known for illustrating Don McGregor’s run on Jungle Action starring Black Panther.
