More Daniel Way nonsense. Deadpool suicide bombs Logan. Twice. Then blows up a bunch more stuff. Then Wolverine hits back. Then Deadpool hits back back.
This fight goes one for three whole issues, setting Chinatown on fire, until finally Deadpool subdues Logan and captures him.
Then Daken shows up and beats up Deadpool. Then Logan gets free and is about to beat up Daken but Winder Soldier is there and shoots Daken in the head.
It’s not until then, at the end of the fifth issue of all this gratuitous violence (and not in a fun way), that we the readers learn that the whole thing was a set up by Wolverine himself to draw out Daken so that he could have Bucky shoot him in the head and cause his brainwashing to disappear.
Way’s plotting always has just enough to be interesting, but the execution always feels mindless and bland. The art raises this above a C- to a C.
