Oh boy is this a mess. You can tell because the cover to #16 is just…Silly, odd, and weird.
Bottom line: Some angels try to help Ghost Rider on his mission to stop Lucifer from returning to Earth in an effort draw Ghost Rider into a battle for the kingdom of heaven. Or something like that. These issues made my head hurt.
In the end, though, Ghost Rider does seem to kill Lucifer….
By hurling his chain through the dude’s skull.
Okay, that’s cool and all but we KNOW the Devil cannot POSSIBLY be dead. It just lacks dramatic heft because of course it’s not true.
He then vows to go after the angel who condemned him to be Ghost Rider. I’m assuming that will be next.
