Last issue, Sub-Mariner punched Radioactive Man through a wall.
This issue he continues to pummel him because his radioactivity poisoned Atlantis. That all gets resolved via a solid story with a nice twist in the end. During it, Monica Rambeau goes from Captain Marvel to Photon, and Genis Vell learns about it on TV…
But Genis also took that name…
But they try to work it out by talking instead of fighting. That’s good.
Monica backs down and chooses the name Pulsar.
I found this whole sequence genuinely funny.
In typical Nicieza storytelling style, the last pages introduce the next arc: Someone dressed up as Swordsman stabs Purple Man and tells a naked Songbird to come with him if she wants to live.
I mean, I’d do that, too. She’s smokin’ hot, and P-Man is a chronic a$$hole rapist.
