For the most part, this was an excellent series. It, like the rest of the Spiderverse, is cancelled to make way for a relaunch of all the Spider-Man titles.
The final issue is by two unknowns. It’s a story reminiscent of Gotham Central, focusing on cops looking into crimes that are negatively impacted by Spider-Man’s vigilante involvement. Spidey doesn’t appear until the last panel, and that’s in a picture credited to Peter Parker.
That picture puts Spider-Man at the scene of a crime, which might be what the cops need to arrest him. The story reads as if there might have been more coming. I would have liked that. It’s pretty good.
But we’re done here.
