This is the sequel to Doom, wherein Doctor Doom ruled a planet in the Heroes Reborn universe. In this series, he starts to uncover secrets about that universe–mechanisms that were put in place by Franklin Richards. He interacts with a psychic projection of the 6-year-old boy, who is still governing this universe from back in the Earth 616 universe.
The interactions between them are both funny and well-done: Doom is an evil manipulator who seeks to be a God. Franklin is a little boy who basically IS God–at least in the sense that he created the Heroes Reborn universe.
By the end of the series, he has lost control of his planet and returns to the 616 universe.
This was a fun read and waaaaaay better than I thought it would be–especially given that it’s an extension of the Heroes Reborn universe.
