About halfway through, this issue takes a bizarre turn. It starts with a super-villain killing a new hero, Zeitgeist. Later on, Z will be revealed as the old Captain America villain Everyman.
Also, Dr. Strange knows some bad mystic stuff is happening, but since it’s in Canada he doesn’t do anything about it. Actually, he’s distracted by Acts of Vengeance events—but those are happening in the U.S. so I’m not completely off base about him not wanting ot help Canada.
Then again, you can accuse me of the same bias because I don’t treat Alpha Flight books with the same level of scrutiny as others—but trust me, that’s a quality issue, not a geographical one.
