Now this is confusing. In addition to a half-dozen (or more) Wolverine one-shots coming out in the first half of 2009, there’s Wolverine: First Class, Wolverine’s ongoing eponymous series, Wolverine: Weapon X, Wolverine: Origins, and probably more that I’m forgetting. And now there’s just “Wolverine” as a one-shot. Which on some sites is called “Wolverine: The Anniversary.” But you can see from the cover that it has no subtitle.
And really, that’s more ink than this issue deserves. Two stories. First, “The Anniversary,” where Logan foils a hijacking and then gets to use a sword to kill people. Then, “Ghosts,” where Wolverine fights ninjas.
Both of them also have Wolverine sad about not being with Mariko Yashida.
Not trying to be cynical or mean, but…Why? There’s nothing really wrong with these stories but they don’t really go anywhere, aren’t surprising or innovative in any way, and are … Kinda boring.
