In the aftermath of the massive explosion that leveled parts of Mutant Town, Val Cooper offers to put them into witness protection. Madrox turns her down and the team flees–relocating underground to Detroit.
Five months later, Val tracks them down and tells Madrox he works for her now, like it or not.
I’m not sure what this means for X-Factor, but I’d follow Peter David anywhere. He’s writing the hell out of this team.
