This story goes back to Johnny’s early days, right after he became Human Torch, where he has conflict with a kid from his High School named Mike Snow. Get it? Snow? Torch?
Anyway, Snow shows up in the present day and Johnny helps him track down the source of a mysterious fire that burned Snow’s buddy.
Cartoonish art and a bunch of characters nobody cares about makes this an unpleasant read. I like Skottie Young for some things, but this series is extremely melodramatic and deals with someone literally being burned alive. Young’s style is not well suited here.
