These issues encompass the story, “Homecoming.” They mark the “end” of this series, but it lingers for two more issues as part of the Second Coming event under the title, “Deadpool/Cable.”
Multiple artists here. More artists than issues in the story arc. That’s rarely a good sign. Nor is it a good thing that the story starts in (yet another) alternate future.
Cable and Hope crash-land in a version of future New York City, and Bishop is still hunting them–as he has been for well over a year’s worth of issues. It’s time for this to end. And it does, actually, when Hope’s Jean-Gray-like powers manifest and she defeats Bishop. Before she can kill him, Cable stops her–then steals parts from Bishop’s bionic arm to create a portal. He’s hoping to take them back to present-day New York, but the jury-rigged system is faulty and they time jump a bit until we get to the big finish: A total of 17 years have passed. Cable and Bishop don’t look any older but Hope is almost done being a teen now. Cable defeats Bishop by shooting him forward in time to the 6000s century and disabling his time travel device–stranding him there.

Then, they make it back to Earth 616 in the present and that’s the lead-in to Second Coming.
