Cyclops “died” during the latest “big” Apocalypse epic. But no, of course he didn’t. Instead, he’s working as a deckhand on a ship with no memories of who he is and nightmares from the perspective of young Apocalypse–because they merged in their final battle.
Jean, his wife, and Cable, his son-from-another-future go looking for him.
Okay, so, I’m not going to write much about this series. I’m tired of these back-to-back-to-back Apocalypse stories that have huge build-up, create a lot of fake change, but end up signifying very little–and aren’t very good stories, to boot.
Suffice to say, Scott is hosing Apocalypse’s soul. For that reason, in addition to his family searching for him, Ozymandias is hunting him.
In the big finale, Jean uses her psychic powers to pull Apocalypse out of Cyclops’ body and Cable slays the villain with a psychic simitar called a psitmatar.
So Apocalypse is finally dead, and never returns again.
Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiight.
Cyke is saved in the end, but everyone still looks sad.
