So far, this series has been largely harmless, telling small stories that take place between issues of the early Lee/Kirby days of the X-Men. This issue adds a fairly significant plot thread, but it doesn’t go anywhere after this…Which supports the argument that this comic is not canon.
What is the thread?

Angel and Wanda went on FOUR DATES!!! Four!!! We knew he crushed on her way back in X-Men #4 when they first met, but to be fair in those early days every time a female appeared at least half of the men present would think or say something about wanting to bang her because (a) they were all teenagers and pumped up full of hormones and (b) Stan Lee was a bit of a horndog.
Their relationship is handled expertly here. Just look at those few panels above. Cruz does a great job at drawing teens in love and Parker continues to really understand what it’s like to be young with superpowers but normal desires.
It’s a nice little nuance to those early Brotherhood of Evil Mutants issues but like I said I don’t think anything else has been said about these two briefly dating. Correct me if I’m wrong.
Anyway, it adds gloss to how Wanda and Pietro left things after they first met the X-Men.

And it ends with a snowball fight–a classic X–Men staple.
