This was a short story printed in “The Best of Marvel Comics,” a hardcover with a faux leather cover that reprinted a bunch of solid single-issue stories (including the seminal Captain America #255) and also had this little beauty.
The tale is a simple Wolverine story, but like this blogpost says, it foreshadows the upcoming Wolverine solo series of the ’90s. Go read that post–it goes into a lot of detail and has some great insights.
Lots of action, spot color for blood (a rarity in the ’80s)…Good story.
