In issue #101, Waid introduced the idea that Flash can “share” his speed force access to enable another person to get speed powers. But what can be given can be taken away…
Ninjas steal the speed force. This story is decent, but this book isn’t as good as it was last year. In issues #112-117, the “Race to the Future, the villain is another future Flash.
Prior stories with alternate Flashes were good, but now we’re getting into yet-another annoying alternate reality version of a hero. Sigh.
Mark Waid would stay on this book to #162, but from here on out he’s co-writing with Brian Augustyn, so this is a good place for me to stop.
