Spider-Man Unlimited #7 (2005)

Another issue, another two stories that don’t really matter.  Story one is an easy read and it’s not bad.  An “everyman” office worker who is living his worst life happens to have the chance to help Spider-Man by hitting Mysterio during a fight, and his actions turn him into the hero who gets the girl.  It’s the kind of story we rarely see anymore because most comics barely acknowledge that real people exist as they focus (exhaustingly) almost exclusively on “big cosmic threats.”

There’s also a pretty major typo. The office worker is part of a superhero betting service that doesn’t know the name of “Moon Knight.”

For story 2, we focus on a criminal who is hanging upside down after having been webbed to a pole.  It’s also fun and cute. And has a nice little tribute to Amazing Fantasy #15.

Overall, a good read.  Nice job.
