Spider-Man Unlimited #1 (2004)

Someone must have missed all the anthology-style books, which published multiple stories in a single 24-page comic book and which were all the rage in the ’90s. But apparently, nobody told new EIC Joe Quesada that they were never very good and never sold well.

One comic, two stories. Peter Parker is Ben Urich’s photographer for an interview with a dying young girl who loves Spider-Man. Then Slyde, the villain nobody was wondering about, returns to rob a bank in a script that seems like it was supposed to be funny.

At least this will only be bimonthly.
