This was a one-shot intending to make the USSR’s version of The Avengers relevant and cool.
It didn’t succeed.
In Captain America #353, the Soviet Super Soldiers were left for dead by a new, more aggressive band called the Supreme Soviets. In this story, Russia brings the comatose heroes back for research (in tubes of course), and also includes most of the Russian Marvel characters.
And that’s really it. It’s not a story so much as an opportunity to bring out a bunch of Russian analogues for U.S. heroes, most of which never appear again. Like this guy, who is obviously Cable:
