Series: Champions (1975-1978)

Champions threw together a widely varied crew, but sadly the bizarre mix did not produce the kind of great character moments hoped for.  Instead, the team fought Iron Man variants and a swarm of bees, and never really got good, despite frequent art by John Byrne. 

It did, however, contribute to diversity by introducing Darkstar, a female Russian hero.  Grade: C-
