This is (yet another) issue #1 for Punisher. And it has a tribute cover!
In the opening pages of his newest monthly series, Frank Castle does what (frankly) every super hero should have done when the maniacal Green Goblin became the most powerful mortal on Earth. He tries to kill him.
We’ve seen Punisher commit political assassinations in foreign countries (with and without U.S. sanction). I’m pretty sure he’s taking U.S. leaders, too. But certainly never one at this level.
Osborn has powerful bodyguards. Like Sentry. Who, when Frank takes his shot, simply catches the bullet.
Then we get the Marvel version of Batman versus Superman. And it’s great.
Punisher saved by a new version of Microchip–a disgruntled hacker who was abused by Jigsaw, and now throws in with Pun.
At the end of issue #1, Punisher is unconscious but has been saved by Russo.
I can’t wait to see what happens next.
