Immediately following the X-Men/Alpha Flight mini-series, Loki and Enchantress mess with the X-Men and the New Mutants. He does this by kidnapping the team, but Magik tries to use her teleportation power to get the team free and they end up all over Asgard.
So, it’s a bunch of mini-adventures—like the old Justice League/JSA team-ups of the 1960s and ‘70s.
Wolfsbane meets a wolf prince.
Karma is now obese because Farouk messed with her weight, and her adventure makes her slim again. She winds up in an Asgardian desert where time passes differently…
…She finds a child and protecting her is a reason to live and, since time moves faster here…
That doesn’t really make sense. If time passes like that for her, she’d also be older–not just skinnier.
And speaking of fat…
Also…
…Dani Moonstar becomes a Valkyrie. This will have lasting effect on her character.
Loki makes Storm his queen and gives her powers.
So, eventually, all the mutants go to Asgard to stop Loki from being a dick. Again.
And save Storm.
Obviously, the art is something fantastic here. And just because I have a tag for it, here’s a bondage shot of Magik.
The gang ends up getting the better of Asgard’s evil doers once again…
And Magik gets to give Enchantress her comeuppance.
True to form, Loki swears revenge.
