The opening pages of issue #26 are slient. Clint Barton wakes up “several months ago” outside the wreckage of Avengers Mansion to find a torn new clipping of his own death.
He then goes to Doctor Strange’s Sanctum, where Strange verifies that he is back from the dead.
Barton asks Strange not to tell the Avengers that he’s alive, and heads to Wundagore to search for Wanda.
There, he finds a woman who looks like Wanda (and who has an
“Aunt Agatha”) but who doesn’t read the news and who has never heard of Hawkeye or mutants or Scarlet Witch. Clint being Clint, he has sex with her.
All of this is a prequel to the next big arc.
