The Hellcat run by the Immomens (Kathryn as author and Stuart on pencils) is pretty well recognized as a high point–and a turning point–for the character. It was funny and charming and started in a pretty unremarkable anthology title.
The story seamlessly married her superhero identity with the life of model Patsy Walker, which predated the Marvel Universe. But first, in this story, it actually separated them. A cursed book creates multiple Patsies. A model, A superhero. A princess. A cab driver.
It turns out to be a spell cast by Gargoyle, who has managed to revert from his demon form into an old man.
This is most excellent. Can’t wait for the series to start!
