After eight issues solely telling stories about what it is like for new, young Inhumans to try to fit in on Earth, we get an extended arc to close out the series. A rich guy with a sick son wants the Inhumans’ genetic material to try to find a cure. But instead of asking nicely, he tries to get them by force. The Inhumans resist, the world finds out what he was doing, and he kills himself.
Yeah, it’s dark. But his violence against the Inhumans is what turns public opinion in their favor, so that they can return to their student lives.
Here’s how it ends–with another wonderful and touching moment in a series where these kinds of things were regular occurences.
This book was vastly underappreciated.
