Somehow, I missed doing this issue chronologically. Hm. Anyway, it’s their ‘Nuff Said issue, with several stories.
First, the series creative team offers the main story, “Anniversary.” It’s the anniversary of the creation of the team, and each member muses about what it’s been like to be on the team. Except Reed, who forgot it was their anniversary.
Then there’s a Not Brand Ecch story about the creators that is not at all fun or funny. After that is the kinda funny “Eye of the Beholder” where Thing and Torch get sold at a charity auction and of course Thing is the favorite.
It’s actually a fun little tale.
Then the pair go shopping for an anniversary gift for Reed and Sue in a story by Ken Siu-Chong and Alvin Lee.
In all, a mediocre anniversary issue. But then again, it’s really not issue #50. It’s just plain old issue #479. And as far as that goes, it’s pretty good compared to other issue #479s.
