It takes two issues and a very convoluted story crossing over with Hollywood movies just to establish that Karen Page is trying to make it as an actress.
Matt comes out and really it’s just an excuse to move the character to the West Coast, at the time that Stan Lee was trying his hardest to get Hollywood movie deals for his characters.
Remind me who was the artist on this. Karen brings to mind Gil Kane’s Gwen Stacy in Amazing Spider-Man #s 101-102 (from the ‘Extra Arms’ trilogy), complete with orange outfit and body reclining upon a sofa.
