Creator: JM DeMatteis
Most appreciated for his truly hilarious (a rarity in comics) reboot of the Justice League in the ’80s, over at DC, which featured the most famous punch in comics.
At Marvel, he had extended runs on Spider-Man both reveled (Kraven’s Last Hunt) and reviled (1994’s Clone Saga) and pushing the medium forward on Epic works like Moondshadow.
The wide variety of characters he co-created speaks to the breadth of his work: Dr. Fate, Dominic Fortune, Kangaroo, Maxwell Lord, Marvel’s Gargoyle, Turner D. Century, Vermin, Nomad, and novel reboots of Kraven and Spectre.
