One of the best DC writers who never gets enough credit, Simone is a powerful female voice in the industry. This site has featured her brilliant run on DC’s Secret Six, a group she created and shepherded for many years. She also created the acclaimed creator-owned Welcome to Tranquility, about superheroes in an old-folks home. At Marvel, she wrote some of the classic Deadpool issues in 2002.
