Black Widow #1-6 (2004-2005)

Bill Sienkiewicz drew this. Do you need to know more? OK. Issues #2-6 are laid out by Goran Parlov, with Sienkiewicz on finished. Still need more? OK.

Someone is assassinating all the Widows trained by Russia.

Natasha stops the assassination plot.

Violently.

The series ends with a promise of volume 2: Now that she’s killed the KGB assassins, they’ll be after her in earnest.

Very well done. Series was written by emerging sci-fi writer Richard K. Morgan who, at the time, had just written his Takeshi Kovacs series–which won the 2003 Phillip K. Dick award.
