This historical miniseries takes place during Angel’s senior year in High School, also known as the time when Warren Worthington first got his wings.
The art is extremely stylized. For some, that might be a distraction. For me, I’m not a huge Angel fan. I don’t need to see another “before they were X-Men” prequel, either. So the art was my main reason for sticking with this through to the end.
Angel’s development is paralleled against another mutant who can sense other mutants. The little girl is kidnapped and enslaved by a mutant hunter who uses her to find Angel, but Angel is able to beat him up and free the girl.
