Another (delightful) chapter in the continuing story of Peter Parker and Johnny Storm’s love affair. It starts with Spidey and FF going to an alternate universe, long ago, and then brings us to the present where they try to undo the effects of that prior visit.

All of that is firmly in the “stories that don’t MATTER” category. But the fun storytelling and terrific art also put it firmly in the “this is why I read comics” category. Great stuff.
And the icing on the cake?

Spider-Man gives Looter an atomic wedgie.
An odd thing happens in this story. Spider-Man just went through Hell, literally, making a deal with the Devil to restore his secret identity, but in this issue he reveals himself to the Fantastic Four.

I get that he trusts them and all, but after all he’s been through this seems like an unwise thing to do.
There’s also another tribute to the classic “hands-in” Fantastic Four panel.
