It’s spring fling!
This means lots of teen romance and related conflict. The whole issue is devoted to character interplay, and it’s great. But during the event, the X-faculty (i.e., the grown-ups) are called to a meeting with The Avengers (which is depicted in House of M #1). When a nearby Blob sees the X-Jet flying away, he decides to attack the school, which leads to a fun super-battle, after which all the interpersonal conflicts that arose at the dance appear to threaten the future of the student body.
