Letter writer turned writer turned editor turned senior editor for Marvel, Macchio was all over the company’s comics in the ’80s and ’90s, shepherding some of their most important flagship characters: Spider-Man, Daredevil, Avengers, Captain America, The Ultimates…He even got thanked by the Thor movie!

Macchio is the rare example of someone who was able to survive at the company for this entire career.
