A straightforward, clean style made him the perfect artist to inherit John Byrne’s role as Chris Claremont’s muse on X-Men.  Together, the two made some of the greatest and most influential comic books of all time.  Also known for his 2-year run on Amazing Spider-Man, which introduced Black Cat; over three years on Thor; and as a popular fill-in and cover artist.  At DC, he was the premier artist for Marv Wolfman’s controversial Vigilante series and co-created Superwoman.
